We offer three distinct service packages to ensure flexibility and satisfaction for every type of traveler.

1.  The first reason for this structure is the level of guidance—some guests value the full attention, storytelling, and cultural depth that only an experienced English-speaking guide can provide, while others prefer exploring more independently.

2. The second factor is affordability, as our tiered pricing allows travelers to choose the experience that best fits their budget without sacrificing quality. 

3. Third, during peak travel seasons, the availability of our expert guides can be limited, so offering multiple package levels helps us serve all guests efficiently. Finally, our packages differ in transportation convenience—from private vehicles with drivers, to shared transfers, to train or bus transfers.

PLATINUM PACKAGE  

Private Transfer – Comfortable private minivan with professional driver for your round-trip journey from Beijing to the Great Wall (approx. 2.5 hours each way).
Guided Experience – Knowledgeable English-speaking guide to meet you at your hotel and provide expert commentary throughout the tour.

Authentic Meals – Gourmet Chinese-style meals served at a carefully selected local restaurants or in our camping centers.

Entrance Fees Covered – Admission tickets to the chosen Great Wall section will be arranged and paid for by your guide.

PROS - Led by a certified English-speaking guide with years of experience, ensuring insightful narration, seamless communication, and an enriched cultural experience.
CONS - Certified English-speaking guides are limited, especially after the pandemic. They are often booked weeks in advance and prioritized for multi-day tours or treks, so they may not be available for the dates of your choice.

GOLD PACKAGE

During the pandemic, we lost several of our English-speaking tour guides. As a result, they can become fully booked very quickly, especially for travelers planning multi-day treks. Please be aware that the Platinum Package may not always be available on your preferred dates. To ensure you don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Great Wall with us, we encourage you to consider:

Private Transfer – Comfortable private minivan with professional driver for your round-trip journey from Beijing to the Great Wall (approx. 2.5 hours each way).
Led by our experienced Chinese-speaking driver and a local Chinese aboriginal expert, this package offers deep cultural insights and an authentic perspective of the Great Wall and its surrounding villages.
Guided Experience – A local Chinese guide who knows the Great Wall area thoroughly will lead the way, ensuring your safety and helping you avoid getting lost in sections filled with ruined towers and damaged walls that have stood for centuries. 
Authentic Meals – Gourmet Chinese-style meals served at a carefully selected local restaurants or in our camping centers.
Entrance Fees Covered – Admission tickets to the chosen Great Wall section will be arranged and paid for by your guide.

PROS - Our local Chinese-speaking guides are easy to book, even with just 24 hours’ notice. This option is more affordable than the Platinum Package, yet still delivers a rich, authentic, and immersive experience.  Our private car drivers are warm-hearted professionals who take great care of your comfort and logistics throughout the journey.
CONS - Our local Chinese-speaking guides can provide only limited commentary about the Great Wall. Most are local farmers who live near the Wall, familiar with the terrain but not fluent in English. Language barriers may occur, even though they may try to communicate using translation apps.

SILVER PACKAGE

To ensure you don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Great Wall with us, we encourage you to consider the following option:

Private Transfer – A comfortable private minivan with a professional driver for your round-trip journey from Beijing to the Great Wall (approximately 2.5 hours each way).

Your driver will take care of all transportation logistics and bring you directly to the starting point of your hike. Upon arrival, you will begin your hike independently.

This package applies to hikes at Jinshanling (and West Simatai), as these sections of the Wall are well managed and the dangerous areas have been repaired or stabilized. This allows visitors to enjoy a safe and rewarding self-guided hiking experience. You will be free to explore the Great Wall at your own pace while still having reliable round-trip transportation.

Entrance tickets to the Great Wall will be purchased by guests at the entrance gate.

PROS –
Our private transfer option is easy to arrange, often even with short notice. It is more affordable than the Platinum or Gold Package while still providing a comfortable and flexible experience. Our drivers are experienced professionals who take great care of your comfort and ensure smooth transportation throughout the journey. Independent hiking is straightforward, as the trail is clearly marked and maps are available at the entrance.

CONS –
This option does not include an English-speaking or Chinese-speaking guide during the hike. Guests will explore the Wall independently.

TRAIN PACKAGE

A more budget-friendly option, where you’ll take a scenic train transfer to the Great Wall and hike with our friendly local guides.
This package offers rich experiences and authentic connections, ensuring you’ll have a memorable journey.

Authentic Meals – Gourmet Chinese-style meals served at a carefully selected local restaurants or in our camping center.
Guided Experience – A local Chinese guide who knows the Great Wall area thoroughly will lead the way, ensuring your safety and helping you avoid getting lost in sections filled with ruined towers and damaged walls that have stood for centuries.
Entrance Fees Covered – Admission tickets to the chosen Great Wall section will be arranged and paid for by your guide.
Affordable & Convenient – The train costs only $3.50 round-trip, making it both budget-friendly and scenic.
Seamless Arrival – Upon reaching Gubeikou Great Wall Station, our team will meet you and connect you with a knowledgeable local guide for your village-to-wall hike.

PROS - Our local Chinese-speaking guides are easy to book, even with just 24 hours’ notice.  The train ride is easy, comfortable, and extremely affordable, making it a convenient way to travel.
