2-Day Gubei Water Town, Simatai Great Wall & Gubeikou Camping Adventure

Gubei Water Town + Simatai Great Wall Hiking + Overnight Great Wall Camping + Gubeikou Great Wall Hiking

Day 1 — Beijing → Gubei Water Town → Simatai Great Wall → Camping (Self-Guided Tour with English Commentary on the Bus)

8:00 AM – Hotel Pickup
Private pickup from your hotel in central Beijing, within the 5th Ring Road, and transfer to the meeting point.

8:50 AM – Join the Small Group
Meet the group at Guomao Subway Station, Exit F, and depart on a bus for Gubei Water Town.

11:30 AM – Gubei Water Town
Arrive at Gubei Water Town, a scenic historic-style town set beneath the Simatai Great Wall. Enjoy time exploring its traditional streets, canals, courtyards, shops, and mountain scenery.

2:00 PM – Hike the Simatai Great Wall
Begin your hike on the spectacular Simatai Great Wall, famous for its steep ridges, dramatic watchtowers, and beautiful mountain views.

5:00 PM – Meet Our Camping Manager
Our camping manager will meet you at the entrance of Gubei Water Town and transfer you to our camping center.

6:00 PM – Dinner
Enjoy dinner at the camping center and prepare for your night on the Great Wall.

8:00 PM – Set Up Camp on the Great Wall
Head to the camping area. Our team will assist you in setting up your tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad.

Spend an unforgettable night camping on the Great Wall beneath the stars.

Day 2 — Great Wall Sunrise → Gubeikou Hiking → Beijing (Chinese-speaking service)

4:00 AM – Wake Up for Sunrise
Wake early and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Great Wall before dawn. Watch the sun rise over the surrounding mountains and ancient watchtowers.

6:00 AM – Breakfast
Return to the camping center for breakfast.

7:00 AM – Gubeikou Great Wall Hike
Begin a 2-hour hike along the Gubeikou Great Wall. Unlike the restored Simatai section, Gubeikou offers a much wilder Great Wall experience, with unrestored watchtowers, ancient stonework, and sweeping mountain scenery.

10:00 AM – Finish Hiking

10:30 AM – Early Lunch
Enjoy lunch after the morning hike.

12:00 PM – Return to Beijing
Board the Gubei Water Town shuttle bus for the journey back to central Beijing.

Around 2:00 PM – Arrive in Beijing
Arrive in central Beijing. From the drop-off point, return to your hotel independently by subway, public transportation, or taxi.

Day 1 — Beijing → Gubei Water Town → Simatai Great Wall → Camping (Self-Guided Tour with English Commentary on the Bus)

Meet the group and depart on a bus for the Jinshanling Great Wall.

Around 10:00 AM – Arrive at Jinshanling Great Wall
Arrive at the Jinshanling Great Wall Scenic Area. Enjoy approximately 4.5 hours of independent hiking and exploration. Jinshanling is renowned for its magnificent mountain scenery, numerous watchtowers, and combination of restored and original sections of the Great Wall.

4:00 PM – Finish Jinshanling Great Wall Tour
Complete your Jinshanling adventure and continue toward the camping area.
