THE WHITE ELEPHANT TABLES (aka "The WET")
For attendees and exhibitors alike, the most convenient way to sell what you DON'T need and find what you DO need (even if you didn't know you needed it!)
Drop off your items to sell. We handle the transaction for you. Our "take" is 15%, rounded off to the nearest division of 25 cents. When your item sells, we give you 85% of the posted price. If it does NOT sell, pick up your goods and try again next time.
This is a "can't lose" proposition. The worst that can happen is nothing. And the best? The sky is the limit!
What Can I Sell? Anything railroad-related. An ashtray from the old Pennsylvania RR qualifies. A Barbie Doll in a blue blazer does not. A time-table from the famed B&O railroad qualifies. A deck of Dungeon and Dragons Magic cards does not. Bottom line: the same restrictions that apply to selling by exhibitors applies to the WET.
How Do I List Items for Sale? The best way is to order Product Listing Forms from us, as seen at right or below. This is a 3 part form: white, yellow, pink. Bring them with your goods for convenient and quick drop-off.
When Can I bring in my items? Any time from 3 PM to 5 PM Friday and after 7 AM on Saturday.
Where do I find the White Elephant Tables? Dead center of the South Hall (big hall to your left after entering the Cow Palace).
How Do I get paid? When your items sells, we collect from the buyer, take a 15% commission, and hold the balance for you to claim any time during the show. Be sure to present your (yellow) copy of the listing form .
What if my items don't sell? If they don't, pick them up to take with you. You may abandon your property if you wish. Anything not claimed by show closing at 4 PM Sunday becomes property of the show.
Send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope (with a first class stamp) to the address below and we will return 14 forms. Add 15 cents postage for every additional 10 forms, up to 13 ounces. Need more? Send us an email or call (Contact data at bottom of page).
