THE SITUATION:

You have inherited, or you have found, a collection of model trains which were a treasure of the owner or perhaps to someone who received them from the owner, in turn.

Regardless of the manner in which the collection is to be disposed, you hope they will go into the hands of people who want them and will enjoy them, because that is what the original owner would have wanted.

We hear you. And we hear from MANY of you. So many, that we have created this special page to address your concerns.

If you are reading this page, it's not about the money...you simply want to unhand yourself of the inventory and hopefully spread some joy among people (especially youngsters) who are eager to get started in the hobby or enhance a growing layout.

YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE:

Bring your collection to our White Elephant Tables and we will handle the rest. We will price the items to be well within the reach of every buyer. Proceeds from the sales of your items help the show keep prices low for attendees and exhibitors. Bottom line: you support the hobby.

AND THERE IS A NICE PERK!

To thank you for your donation, we will give you two free passes to any show. If you have kids under 16 with you, they get in for free. We'll give you the passes when you bring in your items. If you don't care to come to the show, yourself, gift them to someone who would!

SUPPOSE I CAN'T BRING IN THE COLLECTION ON MY OWN?

That happens, sometimes. Email us at jsgeare@gsmts.com with your contact data and we'll make an arrangement for pickup, if possible.

TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

No. The show is NOT IRS qualified as a "non-profit". Instead, we try to make enough to sustain the show. The expense of qualifying as a "non-profit," and maintaining that status is really not worth the effort and cost.
