From the U.S.:  Poles cannot be carried on.  We placed our disassembled poles into our bags, placed these inside plastic bags to check. We pre declared all food, which was commercially packaged mostly freeze dried. After crossing, we repacked all our food into freezer zip lock bags to save weight and volume.
