Towards the end of the day ran into a purple ribbon before the Narraway river crossing— glacier/ milky blue. Camped by the river. Cheddar Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli.
The next morning we made it quickly to Moonias and began the ascent. It wasn't too difficult. We were a bit to the right of the route and probably could have more efficiently hugged the border of the trees and rocks rather than stay deep in the vegetation. We made it to the river crossing, close to if not exactly where the suggested route indicated. The water was below our knees and not that swift. The gravel and rocks were small and it was easy traversing. We camped just after crossing next to the river. We didn't want to be too close to the river but couldn't find any where else to pitch a tent. The forest in this area is thick and we were't sure we could make it to another flat, dry spot before sundown.
