Google Classroom is a Learning Management System that allows the students to engage in a digital classroom specific for each class. It allows the students to view a stream which shows everything happening: from comments to assignments to posts. Google Classroom also has a "Classwork" tab which enables the students to view each and every assignment, see when it's due, the instructions to each, and link themselves to the platform it may appear on.
Google Classroom sees the model of 21st Century Learning present. Under "Information, Media, and Technology Skills" it states, "Today, we live in a technology and media-driven environment, marked by access to an abundance of information, rapid changes in technology tools, and the ability to collaborate and make individual contributions on an unprecedented scale. "
Google Classroom is a prime example of 21st Century Learning. With the immense growth of technology, and the demand for use, students and teachers alike must grasp the skills to be used with technology. As we experienced a couple years ago, Google Classroom was greatly used during the height of the pandemic, which forced teachers and students to utilize this technology.
