Accepting Applications for Grants to Support Publication and Presentation
Of Graduate Students Research Results at International Academic Conferences
for the Fiscal Year 2025
1. Qualification for Grants Applicants
1.1 Must have an active graduate student status at the time of application.
1.2 Must pass the English language proficiency criteria as follows:
- Naresuan University Announcement on English Language Proficiency Requirements for Admission to Doctoral Degree Programs
- Naresuan University Announcement on English Language Proficiency Requirements for Graduate Students
1.3 Have passed the research proposal examination
1.4 Have passed the Qualifying Examination (for Ph.D. students only)
2. Required Documents for Grant Application
2.1 Grants for research results presentation at international academic conferences:
- Grant application form specified by the Graduate School
- Announcement of approval of the thesis proposal for research (issued by the Graduate School)
- Part of the research work that will be used for presentation and publication
- Official acceptance letter from the organizer to present the research result at an international academic conference
- Other conference-related documents (if any)
2.2 Grants for research results publication
- Grant application form specified by the Graduate School
- Part of the research work published, in case of applying for a grant, under clause 5.3 of this announcement
3. Grant Application Evaluation Process
3.1 The Graduate shall appoint a committee to evaluate the applications for the Grants to Support Publication and Presentation of Graduate Students Research Results at International Academic Conferences. The Graduate School shall organize the committee for meetings to assess the applications in accordance with the Naresuan University Announcement on Grants to Support Publication and Presentation of Graduate Students at International Academic Conferences.
3.2 The Graduate School shall collect all the submitted application forms along with the supporting documents and present them to the committee for consideration and determination of results.
3.3 The applicants shall be called for an interview and shall be asked to present their work in English to the committee. The presentation shall be 10 – 15 minutes long. The interview and presentation can be organized onsite or online.
3.4 The Graduate School shall prepare the announcement of the list of grant recipients.
3.5 The consideration and determination of successful applicants for the grant in accordance with the committees' resolution shall be considered final.
4. Application Period
Applications are accepted from November 2024 to September 2025. The presentation of the research work must take place no later than the end of September 2025.
5. Grant Conditions
5.1 Reimbursable Presentation Expenses
Reimbursable expenses for presenting the research results at international academic conferences include – airfare, visa fees, accommodation, registration fees, and publication fees. Reimbursement shall be made based on actual expenses incurred, but not exceeding the rates specified in the Ministry of Finance regulations on grant allocation for different countries are as follows:
- Americas, Europe, and Africa: Not more than 50,000 Baht
- Australia and Asia: Not more than 40,000 Baht
(Excluding ASEAN countries)
- ASEAN: Not more than 30,000 Baht
- Thailand Not more than 10,000 Baht
5.2 Fund Disbursement
Grants for Presentation at International Academic Conference
The grantee must use their own funds first to pay the necessary expenses related to the conference and keep all the official receipts of airfare (Economy Class), Visa fees, accommodation, and conference registration fees to claim the refund. After the presentation, the grantee may request for the disbursement of the half of the approved amount of the grant from the Graduate School.
Grants for Publication of Research Results
After the presentation, when the research result is published in the journal in accordance with the conditions specified in Clause 5.3, the student may request for the disbursement of the remaining half of the approved grant from the Graduate School.
5.3 Published Work
Doctoral Degree Students
Science and Technology and Health Sciences Clusters
Grants applicants must have at least one article about their research or a part of their research published in a journal in the ISI/SCOPUS database, with a Quartile 1 or 2 ranking.
Humanities and Social Sciences Cluster
Grant applicants must have at least one article about their research or a part of their research published in a journal in the ISI/SCOPUS database.
Master's Degree Students
Science and Technology and Health Sciences Clusters
Grant applicants must have at least one article about their research or a part of their research published in a journal in the ISI/SCOPUS database.
Humanities and Social Sciences Cluster
Grant applicants must have at least one article about their research or a part of their research published in an international journal.
Moreover, if grant applicants have published more research articles than the required number specified in the graduation criteria, both at the master's degree and doctoral degree, these publications can still be used to apply for the grant.
5.4 Reporting of Results
Grant recipients must fill out the grant result report form provided by the Graduate School. The results report form must be submitted to the Graduate School within 7 days after the presentation of the research result. The report forms are as follows:

- Complete the research presentation results report form provided by the Graduate School. Download the form from https://bit.ly/3PFTSNA.
- Prepare an official travel report and attach the official receipts of expenses and the approval to travel (approved by the university). Upload all documents at https://bit.ly/3PFTSNA and submit all the documents to the Graduate School's International Relations Division.
Grants for Publication of Research Results
- Complete the publication results report form provided by the Graduate School, which can be downloaded from https://bit.ly/3PFTSNA. Then, upload the evidence of research publication, along with the receipt for publication fees, at https://bit.ly/3PFTSNA. Finally, send all the documents to the Graduate School's Research and International Relations Division.
