Tip: The bot will also work if you only give it the Administrator permission.
If you've followed the instructions from the invite link properly, go to Server Settings > Roles and look for the role called "Gradient". Click and hold the role, then drag it above all the roles that you want the bot to be able to moderate.
Click the dropdown button next to your server's name.
Click the "Server Settings" button.
Click the "Roles" button once you are in Server Settings.
Order the roles so that the role called "Gradient" is above all roles that you want it to be able to moderate.
In this example, moderation commands can be used for users with the Member and Subscriber roles, but moderation commands cannot be used against anyone with a role that's higher than Gradient. Therefore, Gradient cannot moderate users with the Bot, VIP, Admin, and Wozard roles.
Click the gear icon next to a channel that you want to use the bot in to open the channe's settings.
Click the "Permissions" button once you are in the Channel Settings.
Click the small plus icon and select the role called "Gradient".
Ensure that the green check mark is selected for all the permissions you want Gradient to have, then press the "Save Changes" button.
Tip: Gradient requires the ability to read messages, send messages, and embed links at all times. Other permissions are optional; enable them if you would like the bot to perform additional functionality, such as server moderation.
Other permissions are optional, and you can give/remove them to/from the bot depending on the features that you need; enable them if you would like the bot to perform additional functionality, such as server moderation.
Tip: Only giving the bot the Administrator permission will ensure that all of its commands can be executed successfully.
