FACILITIES
Electrical Machine Lab:
In this lab we perform load tests of induction motors, basics of single-phase induction motors, various types of starters, finding voltage regulation of alternators by various methods, parallel operation of transformers, synchronizing of alternators with bus bars, and various practicals on DC machines.
Electronics Lab:
In this lab we perform various Digital Electronics and Digital Instrumentation experiments such as De Morgan’s Theorem, NAND and NOR Gate as Universal gates, Adder Subtractors, and BCD to Seven segment displays. Microprocessor and controller lab Here we analyze results of Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication of 8-bit numbers on 8085 and 8051 training kits. Performs Ohm’s Law, Series Parallel, superposition theorem, etc. SCR characteristics, Triac characteristics, intensity control of light using a Diac and Triac, and speed control of Universal motor.
Electrical Power Lab:
In this lab, overcurrent and earth fault relays, feeder protection systems, current transformers, Wheatstone bridges, and power measurement by the two-wattmeter method.
Computer Lab:
This laboratory has around 30 computers with the latest configurations and internet facilities. All are connected in the LAN. It is fully air-conditioned and soundproof. In this lab we perform practical basic computer applications like MS Word and MS Excel and also perform computer-aided electrical drawing of electrical and electronic circuits.
