Search & Filter Data

Finding an item by filtering the content of a list can be done using the "Search" menu (magnifying glass icon). There are many different filters in GoTour to help narrow large data lists down to specific items. The customer list is an example of a large data set that can be made more manageable by applying a filter during a search. Filters are named to convey their usage while searching so the user has a better idea of what to expect from the outcome of the search. In the example of the customer list the filter named "By name, organization, phone or email" can be used to show customers matching the information you enter in the search field such as customer's first name, last name, phone, or email address. The entered values will reduce your results down to a smaller more precise list. Use the sticky checkbox to save the filter for the next time you visit the list. Search can be toggled (shown/hidden) using the "Search" menu (magnifying glass icon).
