Overview
The wall gas furnace is popular in old apartment units. This page shows some maintenance tips
There is no air filter for the gas wall furnace.
To operate on Pilot, you need to open the cover at the bottom.
To turn on the pilot
Make the gas control valve in OFF position first.
Turn the valve 45 degree counter clockwise.
Make sure the PILOT pointing upward.
Left hand push the gas control valve and right hand push the ignitor push button simultaneously.
You may push ignitor push button multiple times until you see the pilot flame on.
Once the pilot is on, you can turn the gas control valve 45 degree counter clockwise until ON pointing upward.
To turn off the pilot
Turn the gas control valve clockwise 180 degree.
Make sure OFF pointing upward.
