I recommend starting your curl set upside down with your diffuser. This will add volume and help dry the areas that are often missed under a hooded dryer. If you struggle with arm mobility try sitting down and placing your elbows on your knees with your head down or lying on your stomach at the edge of the bed/couch.
Once you can feel a bit of firmness, feel free to air dry or finish drying under a hooded dryer. Taking the time to dry your hair will add more curl definition, volume, elongation, and will prevent mildew and other fungal/bacterial infections to the hair and scalp.
