At Golden Sun Childcare, we believe even our littlest learners deserve days filled with love, laughter, discovery, and plenty of snuggles! Our infant program provides a warm, nurturing environment where babies can feel safe and secure while beginning to explore the world around them.
Our Infant Director, Jasmine, creates a fun and enriching environment with new themes and activities each week designed especially for our youngest learners. Even though they may be little, their brains are busy growing every single day!
Throughout the week, our babies are introduced to:
Baby ASL and early communication through simple signs, songs, and everyday routines
Fine and gross motor development through tummy time, reaching, grasping, crawling, movement, and age-appropriate play
Sensory exploration with different textures, sounds, colors, and hands-on experiences
Music, singing, and movement to encourage language development and lots of smiles
Books and story time to begin building an early love of reading
Creative and themed activities that change throughout the year and give our babies new things to see, touch, hear, and explore
Social and emotional development through loving interactions, responsive caregiving, and plenty of one-on-one attention
Most importantly, we understand that babies thrive when they feel safe, loved, and connected to the people caring for them. We work closely with families to learn each baby's individual routines, personality, feeding and sleeping needs, milestones, and favorite ways to be comforted.
There is so much growing and changing during the first years of life, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of it. From first smiles and new sounds to sitting, crawling, signing, and those exciting first steps, we love celebrating all the little moments that become BIG milestones!

At Golden Sun Childcare, we believe that before children can truly thrive academically, they need to feel safe, loved, understood, and confident in who they are. That is why social and emotional learning comes first in our Toddler Program.
Our Lead Toddler Teacher, Kianna, creates a warm, playful, and enriching classroom for children approximately 18 months to 2.5 years old. This is such an exciting age! Toddlers are developing BIG personalities, BIG feelings, new words, growing independence, and an incredible curiosity about everything around them.
A huge part of our day is helping children learn how to recognize and express their emotions, communicate their needs, build relationships, make friends, take turns, work through frustration, and begin developing empathy for others. We understand that toddlers are still learning how to navigate those big emotions, and our job is to guide them with patience, consistency, and lots of love.
Once children feel secure and connected, learning happens everywhere! Through play and hands-on activities, Kianna introduces:
Shapes, colors, numbers, and early learning concepts
Fine motor skills through art, puzzles, building, sensory play, and hands-on activities
Gross motor development through dancing, climbing, running, jumping, outdoor play, and movement
Language and communication through stories, songs, conversations, and play
Independence and self-help skills as toddlers learn to do more things for themselves
Creative and sensory experiences with new themes and activities throughout the year
Classroom routines that gently prepare children for their next step into Preschool
We don't expect toddlers to sit at a table all day to learn — toddlers learn by DOING! They learn while building a tower, painting a picture, dancing to a song, comforting a friend, exploring outside, making a mess, solving a problem, or proudly saying, “I did it!”
Our goal is to help children leave the Toddler Program not only ready for Preschool, but feeling confident, capable, kind, curious, and excited to learn.

Our Golden Sun Preschool Program, serving children approximately 2.5/3 through 5/6 years old, is where growing independence, big imaginations, friendships, and a love of learning really begin to shine!
Our Director and Lead Preschool Teacher, Ashley, creates an exciting, nurturing classroom where children are encouraged to learn through play, ask questions, explore their interests, get creative, and be proud of what they can do. She does amazing things with our preschoolers while making sure that learning still feels like what childhood should be FUN!
At Golden Sun, social and emotional development comes first. Before we worry about how high a child can count or how many letters they know, we want them to feel safe, confident, loved, and ready to learn. Preschoolers spend a lot of time learning how to navigate friendships, express their feelings, solve problems, communicate their needs, work together, build independence, and be kind members of their classroom community.
And while they're doing all of that, there is SO much learning happening!
Our preschoolers explore:
Letters, numbers, shapes, colors, names, and early literacy and math skills
Fine motor development through writing, drawing, cutting, painting, building, and hands-on activities
Gross motor skills through outdoor play, dancing, movement, games, running, jumping, and exploring
Early writing and pre-reading skills to build a strong foundation for kindergarten
Science, sensory play, art, music, stories, and creative projects
Independence and responsibility through daily classroom routines and age-appropriate jobs
Problem-solving, sharing, teamwork, friendships, and emotional regulation
And LOTS of learning through play!
Our goal isn't to rush children into growing up. We want to give them the skills they need for “big kid school” while still giving them plenty of time to play, be silly, get messy, use their imaginations, and enjoy being little.
One of the most special parts of Golden Sun is getting to watch so many of our children grow up with us.
Some children come through our doors when they are babies or toddlers, and before we know it, we're watching them put on their graduation robes and get ready to head off to kindergarten and big kid school. Seeing the tiny child we once held, rocked, taught, played with, and watched take those early steps become a confident preschool graduate is something that never gets old.
Graduation is a BIG deal at Golden Sun because these children are a big deal to us. ❤️
We are incredibly proud of who they become, and while sending them off can be a little bittersweet, there is nothing better than watching them leave Golden Sun confident, kind, curious, independent, and ready for their next adventure.
