Welcome to the new Golden Dome Book Award website! Here you'll find this year's nominees with links to book details, teaching resources, and related activities.

The Vermont Golden Dome Book Award (formerly the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award) was created to honor excellence in children's literature. Each year since 1957, Vermont students in grades four through eight have selected their favorite book from a list of nominees.

This site and the content on it are created and curated by the Golden Dome Book Award committee.

If you have additional 2025-2026 Book Award content that you would like to share with other Vermont librarians,

please send it with the VSLA listserv or LibYouth Services listservs and we will ensure it is shared on this site as well.
