Frenk (proprietor of Spice World: Spice Up Your Life!) hires the PCs to retrieve Fernian firepeppers. Reward: gold.
PCs: Rae, Hana, Kinu
The PCs compete in a Rig Run (an obstacle course taking place on the floating islands above Stormreach and the roofs and rope bridges between them). As the winners, they are chosen to investigate a new floating island approaching the city. They find two rooms of an old, underground laboratory that seems to have various experiments going on: potions, creatures made of glass, and a violent mechanical box.
Rewards: gold, Alistair’s torch, arcane cloak, suspended rod
PCs: Rae, Hana, Enoki, Gillyweed
The PCs compete in the Bakers Night Baking Competition at Molou's distillery, making a croquembouche sculpted into the shape of Volen's (proprietor of Molou's Distillery) face, with kuryeva infused icing. They focus on their own bake instead of sabotaging any others'--until they arrive at the competition, and Kirris Sel Shadra spots Enoki trying to sprinkle firepepper flakes onto some dishes. They win a special bottle of kuryeva, which can be shared between up to 6 creatures to clear 1d4 stress.
In the Red Ring, they face monstrous creatures bred by Tyris d'Vadalis, winning some gold in the process.
PCs: Rae, Hana, Grezin, Alyssa
The party investigates rumors of strange creatures in the Kuronoo River that are scaring water taxi pilots and halting transport of people and goods in and near Stormreach. Whatever it is is hungry, taking food and damaging boats and supplies along the way, and the problem seems to be escalating. Sailing up the river with Captain Surrinek, they find the cause is some strange, eel-like creatures with some instinctual magical abilities. They stop one from attacking a pair of young fishermen, and trace it back to its nest, where after some debate about how to deal with the problem, they decide to take out the adults and rather than putting the eggs somewhere else or selling them to House Vadalis or some other interested buyer to do...whatever they like with them, they decide to crush the eggs and sell the shells for spell components.
Rewards: free water taxi service (for the period of this campaign), gold, an "empty" chest, and skeleton key
PCs: Sabe, Lily, Aurora, Enoki, Beryl
The party learns that Heren d'Ghallanda's hat of disguise has been stolen...just before a streak of dine-and-dashing incidents struck the fine establishments of Stormreach. He needs that hat to allow him to ensure the quality of the restaurants, taverns, and inns are worthy of House Ghallanda's stamp of approval, but doesn't care what happens with the thief, as long as no one knows about the hat. The party decides to work with Sophie Faldo of the Candlelight to offer a special dinner to entice the thief, while searching other likely targets during the day. They are just getting their feet under them at the Phoenix Tavern, and are certain the thief is not at the Bogwater Tavern. Eventually they make it back to the Candlelight and narrow down suspects. They try to sneakily remove his hat, but he notices and vaults over the rooftop terrace's railing, eager to make an escape--but the party makes chase, grab his hat, and get him pinned. Jack Sheppard gives up and, intimidated, agrees to pay back the owners. He keeps his word, but there is news of escalating pickpocketing incidents over the next week.
Rewards (from the Chapterhouse's lost and found box): Calming Pendant, Airblade Charm, Valorstone, Arcane Prism
