Girls Night Out (GNO) is a monthly event open to anyone identifying as female, including trans women and gender non-binary.
While these events have primarily been one-shot games using D&D 5th edition and one-page RPGs, and we may still offer these options from time to time, Karen will be running a loose campaign using Daggerheart, for as long as there is interest in it. This campaign will focus on adventuring board quests initially, and the results of these quests will influence later levels. The intention is for this game to go to Level 10 (the highest level in Daggerheart).
Players can expect high fantasy, and games will vary between combat, roleplay, and exploration/investigation–depending on table composition and player/party preference.
Daggerheart is a relatively new RPG (released May 2025 with about a year of open beta playtests in 2024), so we are all learning together, and questions are always welcome!
This game will take place in the Eberron setting developed by Keith Baker; the vibe of the setting is often described as steampunk or magitech, but can also drift into noir, high fantasy, etc.. For this campaign, PCs will be based in Stormreach, a small city ruled by a council of “reformed” pirates, with the vibes of Port Royal or Tortuga. Stormreach is on the continent of Xen’drik, which was cursed long ago, and is now considered a treasure trove of ancient knowledge and, well, treasure–for those willing to brave the dangers.
Players are not required to be familiar with Eberron, but if you are interested in the setting, you are welcome to contact Karen with questions (or to request additional resources), or check out the sources below:
Eberron: Rising from the Last War (D&D 5e book)
The board below includes Tier 1 (level 1) and Tier 2 (levels 2-4) adventuring board quests posted at the Black Wrack. Players may learn additional information or gain allies while completing these quests that can lead to additional jobs.
Quests that will take a full session, and take place in Stormreach:
Stormreach Guard: Clean up Stormreach's sewers (undead and creature infestation)
Surrinek's Riverboats: Deal with whatever has been messing with the riverboats (completed 10/28/2025)
House Tharashk: Help work in the ore mines near Stormreach
A mysterious benefactor: investigate dine-and-dashing incidents and stop the perpetrator (completed 11/25/2025)
Quests that will take more than one session, and involve travel outside of Stormreach:
Throne Gate Ruins: help with construction at the Throne Gate Ruins; opportunity to get paid by helping out House Jorasco gathering rare herbs.
Quests that will take less than one session (approx. 1 hour) and can be used to practice mechanics or fill time:
Livewood Theater: sell a manuscript OR be part of a play (requires players to describe the play and how they participate in it)
Rig Runs: Players can participate in a race on the floating islands and "rigging" above Stormreach. Involves a series of skill checks.
Claim Your Glory in the Red Ring: participate in combat against other parties, creatures, or constructs. PvP may also be allowed on request.
Baker's Night Bake Off (completed 9/30/2025)
