This is the second intensive seven-week summer seminar designed for Year II doctoral candidates. This course offers candidates a thorough exploration of how educational technology programs are developed, implemented, and assessed. It examines foundational philosophies, instructional design methodologies, and strategic planning processes that guide curriculum development in educational technology. EDTC 814: Advanced Effective Models of E-Learning
This course explores the essential concepts and strategies for assuming leadership roles in the effective integration of technology into learning environments. Key topics include strategic technology planning, leadership approaches, managing institutional change, designing high-quality eLearning experiences, and addressing policy considerations in educational technology.
EDTC 816: Advanced Building Online Communities
This course offers a foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of online interactive platforms. It addresses the effective design and application of digital tools that foster virtual communities. Coursework includes weekly readings, conceptual design drafts, evaluations of current systems, and the development of a culminating design project.
