❤️**Daughter --- Grandson - -- Me **❤️
A passionate and committed bilingual early childhood educator, I currently serve as a PreK-3 teacher in a public school setting while pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Technology Leadership at Kean Jersey City University. My educational philosophy is grounded in inclusive, student-centered learning and driven by a deep belief in the power of culturally responsive teaching and technology to reach every child.
My career in education began with the completion of a CDA and Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and has continued through earning a Bachelor’s in Modern Languages and a Master’s in Urban Education. I also hold a NIEER certificate from Rutgers University. These academic milestones reflect my dedication to both personal and professional growth and continue to shape my work in the classroom and beyond.
As a Spanish-speaking educator, I am especially committed to advocating for multilingual and neurodiverse learners. My classroom is a space where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and express themselves supported by intentional use of digital tools that enhance engagement and access for all.
In addition to teaching, I actively seek out opportunities to expand my skills and leadership capacity through research, professional development, and collaboration with fellow educators. My doctoral work focuses on the intersection of technology, culture, and early childhood learning exploring how we can design more equitable and empowering learning environments for diverse communities.
With a strong foundation in both practice and theory, I strive to lead with empathy, innovation, and purpose. This digital portfolio showcases my journey, contributions, and aspirations as an educator and leader committed to reimagining early childhood education for all learners.
First day of class with my Cohort 13 classmates. It marks the beginning of an exciting doctoral journey filled with new friendships, challenges, learning, and growth. I am grateful to have started this journey alongside such supportive and inspiring colleagues.
2025-2028
At first, starting my first year in Principles of Educational Technology Leadership during Summer II 2025 felt like stepping into the unknown. It was scary, exciting, and a little overwhelming all at once. I was anxious about keeping up and meeting new people. But as the days passed, I began to feel more confident. Getting to know my classmates and having supportive instructors like Dr. Zieger, Dr. Shamburg, and Dr. Mason. helped ease my nerves. Their encouragement and guidance made the experience both meaningful and enjoyable. I’ve developed a genuine interest in how technology can support leadership and learning, and I’m excited about what’s ahead!
One step at a time, I’m moving forward because every beginning holds the power to lead somewhere great.
