During the Summer of my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior I interned at the SGA Garden Internship where I volunteered growing fresh produces such as cucumbers and strawberries. Throughout my time at the internship, I learned how to sustainably maintain a garden bed from dirt to harvest. The produce harvested is donated to local food banks such as the Lazarus House and the cafeteria for Andover High School.
Starting in the fall of my Junior year, I had the pleasure to record and broadcast local town committee meetings and the annual town meeting for Andover. Not only did my time for Andover TV fun, but also meaningful as my work provided an alternative for the Andover community to stay connected with their town.
Throughout 2022-2023 school year, I volunteered at the Andover Youth Center as a Block Party Mentor. Every Thursday from 3:30PM to 4:30PM, my friends and I introduced middle schoolers the introductory skills of filmmaking. Furthermore, short films with them ranging from news broadcastings to an alien invasion on Earth. Besides being with the youths, we were also in charge of their social media account for the year by filming clips of the activities going on at AYC.
During the summer of my sophomore year, from July 12th through August 16th, every Tuesday I tutored seniors at the Andover Senior Center on how to use an iPad. From teaching how to power on their iPad to guiding them through the wilderness of social media, I helped the seniors of the Andover community to have an easy transition into today's advanced technology.
