Computers are taking over the world. With the advent of computerized technology, it influences communities and culture as we're more connected to each other than ever before. Taking this course sophomore year had introduced me to the knowledge and technical work behind the scenes in making our global movement possible.
For my junior year, I took AP United States History (APUSH) which expanded my view of the America's presence in the world. Through this course I learned the good of the U.S. presence to the world such as supporting individual rights and the idea of spreading democracy. However I also learned the cons of U.S. presence in the world, such as sparking conflicts in the Middle East and control other countries for their own benefits. Ultimately this had an impact on people's social life and indirectly contributing to their current economic status.
For my senior year, I'm currently taking AP Spanish, marking the 4 years of taking a foreign language at Andover High School. Though I'm not finish in taking this course, already it had changed the way I view the world. By focusing on Hispanic culture and lifestyle, it's offering of another perspective of the world is important as it emphasized how diverse the world really is. With different cultures, lifestyles, and circumstances, it enlightened me in terms of how lucky I am living in the United States as well as the different customs and traditions that I wish we have.
