Dear Friends in Christ,
On December 24th, the Holy Father opened the doors of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, initiating the long-anticipated Year of Jubilee for which we have spent the last year preparing ourselves in prayer. Having gone into our “inner room” to commune with the Lord, we go now with confidence to celebrate a time of renewed faith, hope, and love.
Jubilee Years have historically been times of both conversion and celebration, as the people of God turn their hearts to the Lord so that they may be enveloped by His mercy, transformed by His holiness, and caught up into the great joy of His love. This Jubilee Year offers us a unique opportunity to grow in our spiritual lives and unite ourselves evermore to the universal Church, which as a “pilgrim of hope” marches home to the Father’s embrace.
In the moving contributions of this World at Prayer Newsletter, we see clearly God’s power to bring transformative growth and unity to our families and communities through prayer. I pray that these moments of grace will inspire you and your families to begin this “year of the Lord’s favor” with every confidence in His love and mercy.
In Christ,
Rev. Fred Jenga, C.S.C.
Dear Friends in Mission,
As we approach the end of this incredible year, I am filled with gratitude for the dedication and prayers that have fueled the global mission of Holy Cross Family Ministries. Through your unwavering support, we have touched countless families, inspiring them to strengthen their prayer lives and deepen their faith.
This special 18th edition of the Global World At Prayer Newsletter celebrates the remarkable accomplishments achieved together. From global leadership initiatives advocating family well-being to empowering youth, fostering cultural engagement, and providing holistic family counseling, the impact has been truly extraordinary.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to our global team for their commitment, creativity, and passion, and to you, our readers, for your continued prayers and encouragement. You are a vital part of this mission, and your support sustains our work in 18 countries around the world.
May this issue not only be a testament to what we have achieved but also a source of hope and inspiration for the journey ahead. Let us continue to embrace our mission with faith, love, and prayer.
Wishing you a joyful and blessed Christmas season, filled with the peace of Christ.
Blessings,
Fr. Pinto Paul, C.S.C.
Dear Jesus,
Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary. His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth.
We beg you, therefore, to hasten the day of his beatification, so that Your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that The Family That Prays Together Stays Together, will imitate him in his devotion to Your Mother and ours, and will be inspired by His holy life to draw ever closer to You with childlike confidence and love. Amen.

We recently launched something very exciting at HCFM -- our crowdfunding campaign: We PRAYED! A Campaign for Family Prayer. Visit our website to learn how we will transform The Father Peyton Center in North Easton, MA, into a prayer destination for families, complete with a Lourdes Grotto, Rosary Prayer Path, Marian Plaza, and suitable oratory for Venerable Patrick Peyton's final resting place. This, in addition to our Father Peyton Museum and Marian Art Gallery, our campus will become a place for pilgrimages, retreats, conferences, and spiritual renewal of families! We are beyond thankful to everyone who has already joined us in our mission to create this much-needed place for families and friends to come together in faith and fun!
As we turn to embrace this Jubilee Year of Hope, we know that regardless of life’s circumstances, the wellspring of hope is prayer — a deep connection to our loving Father in heaven, the Blessed Mother and our Lord Jesus Christ. Making a deliberate decision to deepen our spiritual practices helps us become beacons of hope in our world!
In the early days of his priesthood Father Peyton gave a series of talks to urge people to come together for daily prayer of the Family Rosary. Though he gave these talks in 1944, the message contained within is as timeless as any. “Think back, as far back as you can – remember all or any of the creatures, animate or inanimate that for a moment raised your heart to God. It may have been a noble man or a beautiful, noble woman, or it might have been a flower or a song, or the forest, or the waves of sea. The setting sun or the moonlight may have raised your thoughts to God....
In our ongoing effort to unlock hearts to the possibilities of faith, Family Theater Productions has been developing and producing original series for our YouTube channel. While they’re designed for a broad audience, each shows how faith integrates into lives.
In the spirit of this Jubilee Year, with the theme, Pilgrims of Hope, I want to share with you a message that celebrates the spiritual growth of a young Patrick Peyton and the fruit of his priestly ministry that was nourished by his experience of family Rosary prayer. As Vice Postulator and Guild Director for the Cause of Venerable Patrick Peyton, I’ve had the honor and pleasure of celebrating Mass and speaking about Father Peyton in the United States and Europe.
The theme for our Try-Prayer 2025 is "Prayer: My Pathway to Peace". In addition to traditional artwork, we are offering high school and college students the option to use media platforms to showcase their creativity. Each Ministry Center is allowed one entry. Videos should be 10 to 20 minutes in length. The first prize winner will receive $3,000, second place will be awarded $2,000, and third place will receive $1,000. This exciting contest is called the Global Flourishing Family Video Contest. The deadline for all submissions is May 31, 2025. We prefer live action (telling a story with characters)!
Testimonies from around the world reflect our mission to inspire, promote, and foster the prayer life and spiritual well-being of families throughout the world. We help families pray.
