Family Rosary Chile Joins Solemn Procession for the Virgin of Carmen
Global Leadership Influence for Family Well-being
Family Rosary in Chile continues to grow through strong support from the Archdiocese of Santiago, under Archbishop Fernando Chomali, and the Cathedral Parish, led by Msgr. Hector Gallardo. The District of Chile-Peru, through District Superior Fr. Alfredo Hernandez, CSC, and the Holy Cross priests and brothers, has further strengthened the ministry. Their collaboration has enabled participation in diocesan meetings, Marian processions like Nuestra Señora del Carmen, and faith formation activities with the Peyton Prayer Groups at San Roque and Nuestra Señora de Andacollo parishes.
Family-Centered Educational Programs
Three parishes—Andacollo, Callelarga, and San Roque—serve as key centers for ministry, along with their affiliated schools: Colegio de Nuestra Señora de Andacollo, Colegio de San José Calle Larga, and La Merced de Callelarga. These provide opportunities for engaging students and parents in faith formation. WhatsApp prayer groups, Try Prayer! contests, and workshops with Missionary Childhood have further strengthened family involvement in prayer and Catholic values.

Youth Empowerment Initiatives
Parish-based activities and retreats have helped young people reconnect with their faith, fostering stronger family bonds through prayer. These initiatives have also provided a space for vocational discernment, encouraging youth to explore religious life and marriage as part of their faith journey.
Cultural Engagement via Media
Chile’s strong digital culture has allowed the ministry to grow its presence through Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube, sharing gospel reflections, family prayers, and Rosary sessions. In areas with limited internet access, printed prayer materials have been distributed to keep families engaged in prayer. These media efforts have helped reconnect youth with their faith and families despite the country’s rising secularization.
Holistic Family Counseling and Spiritual Support
The ministry continues to support families through prayer groups, pastoral counseling, and faith-based resources. The growing Peyton Prayer Groups have been instrumental in strengthening family spirituality and promoting prayerful living.
