One of the blessings of being a priest and the Vice Postulator and Guild Director for Venerable Patrick Peyton’s Cause for Sainthood is to receive letters like the one below from a Guild member:
“Dear Father David,
I wanted to let you know I received the Venerable Patrick Peyton Novena booklet and prayed the Novena for my son-in-law. He is middle-aged and had been looking for a job since he had to close his rental business last September. He had many interviews and felt his age was against him regardless of his experience.
The day after the Novena ended, he got a job offer and started the next week. He is an active member of AA and holds weekly meetings of the group. He is a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He credits the Novena with his job offer.
I am blessed to live close to my daughter and my son-in-law, they are so good to me. I have a wonderful parish that I belong to where I have met new friends as well as in my over 55 community. I volunteer at the church when I can. Although I miss my old parish and town, I am very happy here. I enjoy getting the communications from the Guild and the Father Peyton Center.
Hope all is well with you.”
Father David Marcham and Guild members pray the Rosary together.
We give thanks to God for our sister in Christ sharing a prayer answered through Venerable Patrick Peyton’s intercession and for her trust in the power of prayer. I invite each one of you who reads this message to pray for your loved ones and yourselves and to likewise ask for Venerable Patrick Peyton’s intercession, especially in this Jubilee Year of Hope.
In Jesus and Mary,
Father David S. Marcham
