Glen Warren


Glen Warren is the Encinitas Union School District Director of Literacies, Outreach, and Libraries, in other words, he is the LOL Director.

He co-wrote the California Model School Library Standards and the California Career Technical Education (CTE) standards for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

Glen is an Orange County Teachers of the Year, California Semi-finalist Teachers of the Year, and was recently recognized for innovation and educational leadership by California Reading Association, CUE, Classroom of the Future Foundation, and CIO LOOK Magazine.

The ultimate goal for his work is to revive and advance the LOVE of learning!

CUE Gold Disk Award 2019 - CUE’s oldest recognition program since 1983, a Gold Disk celebrates a CUE member’s contributions to technology in learning.

California Reading Association (CRA) State Literacy Leader Award 2018 - This was the first award of its kind from CRA. It was awarded in recognition of the Media and Information Literacy state and national leadership connecting students and school libraries.
