Wilson High School version of 2025-2026 NAMI Virtual Mental Health Assembly. Includes principal introduction, student speakers at all three impacted schools, celebrity guest speaking from Disney's Encanto voice actor Jess Darrow, student created PSA, educational segment by LAUSD Director of Mental Health Services LaKisha Johnson, and student resources at their school.

The 15 person NAMI Media Team would meet biweekly, where team leads would discuss updates, delegate Virtual Mental Health Assembly tasks to members, and teach a media/marketing related lesson to members to sustain efforts in effective advertising.

On individual time, team leads Poyan Lam and Kristin Ng would discuss pace of delegating tasks and setting deadlines. Media Team worked on the assembly throughout the entire second semester, with some planning and preparation during the first semester. 

From ideation, to scriptwriting, to editing, to advertising, all Media Team efforts are student driven. In Year Two of the Mental Health Assembly Project, senior members took underclassmen along through the process of creating videos, leading speakers, and representing the team effectively.

Using the StudentsBuild grant money, this year we were able to impact a third school, Cedarlane Middle School, servicing more schools across our district and bringing up our total impacted students to over 2700.

To increase teacher engagement, this grant also funded t-shirts for 118 teachers across all three schools to wear the day their assemblies released.
