3/17/26 - Members visit the HLPUSD Willow Adult School and explore culinary activities, such as baking cinnamon rolls and learning how to cook turkey wraps.
3/11/26 - 27 members attend 11th annual StudentsBuild Summit at YouTube Theater, participating in a College and Career Fair and listening to inspirational figures, from Disney to college athletes to Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
02/05/26 - Forty-two students from across the district, in grades 6-12, participated in a ninety minute art lesson from HLPUSD art teacher. Students produced a Vincent Van Gogh inspired work utilizing a variety of watercolor techniques.
1/27/25 - Pioneering NAMI Pomona Valley's Careers that Care Workshop, exposing members to mental health careers in pharmacy, art therapy, and more. Forty members engaged with videos, group activities, discussions, raffles, and snacks.
12/04/25 - Twenty-eight students from across the district, in grades 5-12, participated in a seventy-five minute yoga session with certified yoga instructor and Wilson teacher, Mrs. Estes. In partnership with the Hacienda-La Puente Unified School District's Teen Wellness Series.
11/22/25 - Thirty members attend the Alzheimer's Association of California Southland's Walk to End Alzheimer's at Exposition Park. Finishing the near three mile walk, participants had fun with additional activities and exploring the vendor booths.
11/15/25 - Over 20 club members spend the morning at Angels Stadium for NAMI Walks Orange County, braving the rain on a modified course.
10/21/25 - Club members enjoy general meeting activity of a tote bag painting craft, alleviating mid-semester stress and putting energy towards creative outlets.
10/11/25 - Forty members participate in the NAMI California Youth Symposium held at Linda Esperanza Marquez High School. Activities included listening to a guest speaker, LaKisha Johnson of LAUSD Mental Health Services, our President and Vice President speaking in a student panel, and decorating wood cookies with positive messages.
09/17-18/25 - Cabinet engages Glen A. Wilson student body to join club with photo props and presentations on club mission over two days.
09/17/25 - Members of Cabinet join School Psychologist, Dr. Brady, and principals to present club events, student-made mental health educational resources, and shared student perspectives on mental health to parents.
08/06/25 - Cabinet created yard signs to put at the entrance of Glen A. Wilson High School to provide encouragement on the first week of school. Cabinet gathered together before school started to make signs and placed them at the entrance on the morning of the first day of school.
