Re-Education is a form of punishment against personnel who have proven insubordinate or have been convicted of disloyalty.
Operatives:
May re-educate all Imperial personnel below the rank of Imperial High Command.
Agents:
May conduct re-education on all Imperial personnel below the rank of Senior High Command.
Re-Educations involving disorderly or mentally insufficient personnel are advised to be conducted in an office room, verbally explaining their errors to the trooper. While in severe cases, physical re-education may be required, such as grammar jacks, crouched perimeter checks, etc. Re-educations are issued by ISB personnel, regimental superior officers, and on rare occasions, High Command.
You will be notified that re-education is necessary when a suspect has been arrested for treasonous or insubordinate reasons.
You may also be notified to re-educate personnel who have been arrested repeatedly within an hour timespan or by a Command Member.
Inform the detainee of the reason for their re-education. Offer them their options:
Voluntarily submit to Re-Education; if arrested, the detainee will be released upon completion.
Refuse Re-Education; be arrested without bail. (10 minutes total jail time)
Transport the detainee to a secure location for re-education or use the Pandora Light Cruiser.
Be creative with your Re-Education, but make sure the punishment fits the crime.
Dependent on previous Re-Education history and severity of the last crime. You have the discretion to vary the re-education difficulty.
Conduct the re-education for 15 minutes unless told otherwise by the detainees' Commander or Grand Moff Tarkin+.
Ensure that someone from the Bureau or a Naval Senior Officer or Security Officer is always supervising the re-education.
Certain rules are in place to make re-education fair for both parties involved and to ensure they are all conducted without issue.
It would be best to inform them of why they are being re-educated unless told otherwise by Bureau Command+.
You can only detain someone for no longer than 30 minutes.
A person can be held for longer than 30 minutes if they refuse to do the re-education, in which you would stop the timer until they continue the re-education. The timer only starts if they begin to conduct the re-education properly.
A person can be held longer if ordered by a Command Rep+ (Grand Moff Tarkin / equivalent ranking personnel).
A re-education may only be done if certain requirements are met. The only exception is if ordered by Bureau Command or Command Rep+. These re-education requirements are as follows:
When ISB personnel have been notified, a suspect has been arrested for treachery or insubordinate behavior.
If Imperial High Command has directly arrested a suspect.
If Imperial personnel has been caught placing a bounty on an individual with Clearance 4+.
If a person has conducted a re-education and continues the actions that previously led them to a re-education.
This is a reportable offense, you may call staff for FailRP or pursue further re-education roleplay.
