The DEFCON (Defence Readiness Condition) represents the threat level currently facing the personnel aboard an Imperial station or planetary base. The highest-ranking Naval personnel is responsible for changing the DEFCON state when necessary. ["/DEFCON #"]
Ground Base Defcons
DEFCON 5 - Regular Duties
Proceed with standard duties. Personnel should only have weapons on safety while guarding or conducting a patrol on the base.
DEFCON 4 - Personal on Alert
All Naval personnel should cease low-priority activities, immediately report to the command center, and await further orders from GCC Command.
DEFCON 3 - Known enemy threat
All Naval duties are canceled, and Naval personnel must immediately report to Ground Command Center. Start checking systems and begin to charge ground turbo lasers and awaiting further orders from GCC Command.
DEFCON 2 - Lost control of the Command Center/Rebel in Command Center
Ground Command Center is under fire by rebel ships and or getting captured by enemy rebels, naval personnel should continue fire on enemy ships and prepare their personal weapons to protect themselves.
DEFCON 1 - Leave Base
After we lose the Reactor Room, if you are around the base, immediately make your way to any hangar bay or transport vessel on the landing pad or ground ATC hanger. Once at a secure location, immediately attempt to contact Imperial reinforcements and report to a battle station as quickly as possible.
As a member of the Imperial Navy, we are tasked with maintaining order throughout any Imperial station. We maintain order through sector and station rotations, which assign each rank bracket to a certain area on the ship to patrol, supervise, and report.
A Naval Non-Commissioned Officer is responsible for issuing sector assignments to Naval Enlisted. Otherwise, the highest-ranking Naval personnel will assign assignments, rotating assignments every 10-15 minutes.
Serious and Passive Roleplay is crucial to the Imperial Navy's functionality.
The Command Center is the most important sector of the Ground Base and should always be manned by a Supervisory Officer, if not by Naval Command. If you see a member of Naval Command, do not traverse the Command Deck and man the Bridge. The highest ranking Naval Non-Commissioned Officer+ is expected to assume Deck Command during all operations, delegating duties to those in Pits and utilizing radio to receive sector status reports.
DEFCON 4/5 - Naval personnel assigned to the Command Center during DEFCON 4/5 are expected to perform airspace scans, check supply availability, check ammunition, and perform system diagnostics/repairs.
DEFCON 2/3 - Naval personnel assigned to the Command Center Consoles during DEFCON 2/3 are expected to perform immediate checks on the shield generators, engine core, hull, life support systems, and weapons systems.
Should these systems fail or malfunction, personnel must send repair droids or a Regimental Engineer to repair the damaged system/console. Once dispatching repair droids or engineers, the Naval personnel must successfully /roll to determine the effectiveness of the repair. For example, if the Turbolaser was functioning at 27% and you rolled a 45. The Turbolaser is now functioning at 72% capacity because 27 + 45 = 72.
If a Chief Petty Officer is on the bridge deck, they must issue tasks should a combat situation occur.
Air Traffic Control is the second most important sector of the Ground Base and is the Navy's secondary battle station, should the Command Center be non-functional or inaccessible. Within the ATC, members of the Imperial Navy can monitor all travel, ensuring that only authorized personnel are permitted aboard an Imperial facility. Air Traffic Control must be operated at all times, except for the following:
Free-flight is active.
The player count is above 100, as Airspace is closed to vessels at a higher player count.
When the player count is above 100, immediately close all hangar bays and report to a Supervisor or superior for your next assignment(s).
When requesting permission to depart or land at an Imperial-operated station, all vessels must request authorization from the Air Traffic Control. When operating ATC, you may use the following commands:
Granting Ships: /comms [ATC] Granted <Callsign>.
Denying Ships: /comms [ATC] Denied <Callsign>, <Reason>.
Opening or Closing a Hangar Bay: /advert [ATC] Opening <Hangar bay>.
Should a member of the Imperial Security Bureau request permission, request their reasoning, and grant authorization to land. Denying requests from the ISB is not permitted unless directed by a superior.
Naval personnel may additionally perform checks on the various controls located within the ATC. They can do functionality tests on the hangar doors by opening and closing them. If a malfunction is seen, you must report it through Naval comms and request Regimental Engineers to resolve the issue.
All travel requests must provide the following information:
[<Regiment> | <Name> | <Ship Type / Callsign / Access Codes>] Requesting permission to take off from Side Platform for sector patrol of airspace.
Regiment
Ship Type / Callsign / Access Codes
Take Off / Landing Hangar bay
Valid Reason
While the Command Center and Air Traffic Control are fundamental locations for Naval personnel to be stationed, the following additional sectors may be issued:
Deck Patrol on Command Center: Personnel assigned to deck patrol are expected to ensure all Imperial personnel continue performing to the standards expected of them and their regiment. Personnel found non-compliant and against regulations may be reported to a Naval Security Officer or ISB Operative/Agent.
Follow-up with Secondary Base: As a naval member, you are allowed to ask the Starfighter Corps for transport to another secondary base if there is one on a planet. You will do the same systems in that base's command center, including running supply checks for the base, making sure scanners are working properly, etc.
Supply Checks / Maintenance Patrols: Numerous storage containers/system consoles can be found throughout Imperial installations. Ensuring all necessary supplies and systems are at suitable functionality levels is crucial to the success of any operation.
Identification Checks: Verifying the identification of suspicious troopers is vital to maintaining the operational security of Imperial operations. Naval personnel are authorized to check Clearance level 3 personnel during patrols or request a person to present their ID upon entering a Clearance Restricted Area.
Casualty Check: A casualty check is a record of the Imperial personal that have been wounded, killed, and or taken hostage during an operation. Naval personnel are to go to Medbay and check with medical for the records. Go through the records and check for casualty's and wounded if there are wounded personnel aboard the ISD, Naval is to call them down so medical can give medical attention.
Imperial Outpost: Naval is allowed to run the Imperial outpost on Anaxes. You are allowed to open up communications, patrol, and use the place for SF to land or allow Tank Troopers to repair their vehicles. ID checks will be conducted on everyone that enters the base then you are running the outpost. In order to let people know that the outpost is being operated you will comms in letting0// everyone know that you are manning the outpost.
As a member of the Imperial Navy, you are in charge of making sure the ground bases are stocked with everything it needs such as: ammunition, rations, various parts, and fuel. When you are ordered to request supplies, you must follow certain procedures.
Order the Supplies
Place an order for the requested supplies using the console located on the Bridge or in the Command Tower.
Use the radio to gather personnel for assistance.
Announce over the radio that supplies have been ordered, name the landing location (Ground ATC ), and request that any available personnel are to gather at the drop off point and assist in unloading the supplies.
Repeat step two using /comms.
In addition to using the radio, use /comms as well to bring more attention to your request.
Walk to the drop of point to verify the supplies are being unloaded.
The person who ordered the supplies will then walk to the drop off point where the supplies are being unloaded and verify that the unloading is being done correctly.
