We have a number of Committees that you can lead or contribute to. Remember we are only as strong a PTA as our volunteers. If you want things to change, you need to be that change.

We have a person in charge but they always needs support
Gathering donations
Preparing gifts/food for the teachers and staff
Cleaning and/or setting up
Busy Times are:
During TSA week in the spring
Before winter break
Before the end of the school year

This is crucial to getting our message out.

Make flyers and posters for events, meetings, etc.
Manage the PTA Facebook account

Help the board respond to issues that our members bring up
We can only hold events with the support of our parents. We can't do it alone.

Not too much set up needed.

Make and hang flyers
Send reminders to parents and school
Organize which parent and teachers will be present at which intersections.

Contact Ingrid who ran these for years
Contact the school Facilities Manager
Plan a date and time
Publicize the event - flyers, emails, email to the News Review for a community event notice
Coordinate the supplies (many such as mulch can be supplied by Public Works)
Be at the event to assure a smooth event
Spring Fair - Details to be decided but most likely:
Coordinate logistics of the event with the board and the school
Publicize, send reminders, contact the News Review
Support the volunteers and participants the day of the event
Organize clean up or delivery of leftovers to a suitable charity
Support monthly meeting set up and planning
What would you like to plan? Tell us your plan and we can see if we can make it work!
We'd like to organize a contact book for each class.
This has been done in the past so there is information on logistics but there still may be details to work out.
This would be a coordination with our VP Eric McKenzie.
This may be a project that is ongoing.
Be on call as needed
This isn't a middle of the night thing. When we need an extra hand on a committee or for an event we would send you a message to see if you are available to help.
We are looking for projects, such as someone to help with capital improvements like:
Getting a new marquee sign for out front of the school by the entrance to the parking lot
Improving the playground area
You would provide research, suggestions, budgeting, and communication with the board about needs and issues.
Organize your project, with board approval
Send us a message or ask to talk to the board and we can set up a meeting. You can also try to grab one of us during pick up or drop off.
Some people don't have time but would still like to contribute. We appreciate help in any form. You can donate through this site through the Donate page. Thank you for your support.
