Time Allotted: 40 minutes.
Class: 4th Form - First class of the year
Place at School: the Computer LAB
Activity #1: (10 minutes)
The teacher will introduce herself with the game “Two truths and a Lie”. T will paste slips of paper with different statements about her life on the board and students will have to guess which ones are true and which ones are lies.
Another idea is to make a presentation with the three statements in it instead of writing them on a slip of paper. Look at the video above!
Activity #2: (10 minutes)
Each student will be given a white sheet of paper to write three statements about themselves on it: two must be true and one must be a lie. The statements should be about interests, hobbies and/or past experiences. One at a time, volunteers will share their statements. The rest of the group will have to guess which statements are true and which one is the lie.
Activity #3: (15 minutes)
Introducing yourself in Padlet
T will share students the link to the PADLET via the institutional Google Classroom. They will click on that link and access the board, where they will introduce themselves. T will show them how to post information by creating her own post together with them. Sts will have to write about their favorite movie and music genre, their family, their likes and dislikes, and any other piece of information they would like to share with the group. Finally, sts will add a picture of themselves to the post or an image of something that represents them.

Activity #4: (5 minutes)
T will say some sentences out loud for sts to clap their hands whenever they listen to one that refers to personal information. For example:
I live in Buenos Aires. 👏
Susan broke the glass yesterday. ❌
My brother is watching TV. ❌
I play the piano and do yoga in my free time. 👏
Another idea for this section is to give students some time to comment on their peers' posts. This could also be done orally in case the T wants to avoid inappropriate language in Padlet.
