What is padlet?

It is an education tool that works as a digital noticeboard. Both students and teachers can upload, organize and share content, keeping it all in one place. It's a real-time collaborative platform which promotes students' engagement plus helps create a sense of community. Users can interact with publicly shared posts by commenting or reacting to them.

WHY TEACH WITH PADLET?

Students and teachers can post links, images, videos and files on a common wall.
It encourages collaborative work.
Students and teachers can see each other's posts in real-time and comment on each other's work.
Teachers can use it as a formative assessment tool by posting questionnaires, polls, surveys, and ask students to provide their feedback, which can be used as a scaffold to prepare differentiated and individualized teaching strategies.

Easy access for students.
Easy set-up for teachers.
The free version of the platform serves its purpose.
Pedagogically varied: it can be used for different educational purposes.
There are plenty of functions available: privacy settings, comments, reactions, grading, etc.
It shows real-time updates.
Collaborative work is fostered.
An easy way to create brainstorms on a particular topic and start conversations.
A great tool to organize thoughts or reflect on learning.

padlet's drawbacks

The free version only allows three active walls per account.
There is a 25 MB limit on direct video uploads.
Once posted and once you've left the wall you can only go back and edit if you have the account.
