Graduating Students

THE CEREMONY

The graduation ceremony information will be emailed to all of our eligible graduating students in order to best prepare for graduation.

There is nowhere for you to hold your phones, purses etc. so plan ahead for that and only carry a cell phone with you. Questions? Email your Program Director at MPSJournalism@georgetown.edu and be on the lookout for any rain out details via social media (@hoyajournalism), email & on the graduation home page on the day of the ceremony.

PICKING UP YOUR DIPLOMA

Congratulations on completing your capstone projects and making another step closer to being a Georgetown Alumni! If you are graduating this spring session, your diplomas will be available for pickup at the May reception designated for the Communications Division after the ceremony. If you don't pick it up there, they will be available for two weeks at SCS front desk, and if you do not get it by then they will be mailed to the address you have listed in myaccess.Georgetown.edu, so please be sure that’s updated. Our advice: Pick it up after the ceremony or at SCS so it doesn’t get shoved into a mail box and bent or misplaced.

If you have any additional questions and thoughts, please refer to the Georgetown SCS Commencement site.
