Helena Rosa is a 16-year-old high schooler interested in various fields of knowledge, but one of them shines out the most: Robotics. She is part of the first FRC team in Santa Catarina (FRC5800), a state in the south of Brazil - FRC stands for FIRST Robotics Competition, a.k.a. the biggest robotics competition worldwide. The team has won 6 awards in 6 years against other teams sponsored by companies like Google, Apple and Boeing.
The team has four different divisions, and Helena is the Team Captain of the programming division. She searches about new programming commands, tests and helps out the other members of the team. These tasks support her development in areas such as leadership, communication and analytical thinking.
Apart from the technical part of the team, they also have a clear worldview when it comes to social impacts. The team values education as a change-maker, especially for kids and teens.
Helena is the co-founder of a web-developer company, called Decode Agency. It was idealized during October 2021 and she and her other friend manage all the business' structure: marketing, financial, the proper development of websites, etc.
In the company, proactiveness and results are valued the most, motivating her to always try harder to improve the work. Apart from that, she has also participated in lectures and events related to entrepreneurship and marketing.
One of the most important things she has learned in this journey is organization and agile methodologies. She hopes that the company will grow and be recognized for its service quality.
