Managed by Editor-in-Chief Associate Professor Chanthika PORNPITAKPAN (PhD, University of British Columbia, Canada; listed among the world top 0.7% scholars (ScholarGPS 2025) and top 2% scientists of the world by Elsevier and Stanford University every year since 2019 to present), Global Empirical Marketing Studies (GEMS) is a new open-access journal dedicated to advance research and scholarship in the fields of marketing, management, hospitality, sustainability, wellness, and international business. Our objective is to foster a dialogue between academics and practitioners to enhance the understanding and practice within these dynamic sectors. As we embark on this important academic endeavor, we are inviting passionate and qualified individuals to join our growing editorial board and global expert review panel.

Help review up to two submitted manuscripts per year and provide constructive feedback.
Help promote the journal within your professional networks.
Voluntarily assist in organizing, editing, or curating special issues on relevant topics.
To ensure alignment with our mission, applicants for the Global Expert Review Panel (GERP) must meet these qualifications:
1. Hold a conferred PhD or equivalent doctoral degree (e.g., DBA) from a recognized university in marketing, management, hospitality, sustainability, wellness, international business, or a related field.
Note: Honorary doctorates and PhD candidates/students are not eligible but may submit high‑quality manuscripts to GEMS for publication consideration.
2. Meet one of these criteria:
Established scholars — typically with 1,000+ Google Scholar citations and multiple publications in recognized journals (ABS/AJG 1 and above, ABDC A*/A/B, SCImago/Scopus Q1–Q2); or
Rising stars — with impactful publications in reputable outlets (ABS/AJG 1 and above, ABDC A*/A/B, SCImago/Scopus Q1–Q2) and growing citation traction; or
Scholars from leading institutions — with alma mater or current affiliations among the world’s top‑200 universities (THE/QS overall or subject rankings in relevant fields. Note that “top‑200” refers strictly to global rankings, not regional or national rankings.
For editorial board membership, applicants must:
Hold a PhD in marketing, management, hospitality, sustainability, wellness, international business, or a related field, and have either earned their degree from, or currently maintain an affiliation with, a university ranked among the world’s top‑200 globally (THE/QS overall or subject rankings in relevant fields. Note that “top‑200” refers strictly to global rankings, not regional or national rankings.
Demonstrate a strong scholarly record, typically with publications in ABS4 and above journals or having earned 3,000+ citations.
