Academic journal of marketing, international business, hospitality, and sustainability
for scholars, leaders, and readers worldwide.
Launched in January 2025, Global Empirical Marketing Studies (GEMS) welcomes empirical and practical work across marketing, international business, hospitality, and sustainability. GEMS is diligently working toward Scopus indexing eligibility, adhering to high academic standards and building a robust publication record.
GEMS’ Advisory Board (https://sites.google.com/view/gems-team/advisory-board) unites globally renowned scholars and business leaders graduated from top-tier institutions (e.g., Northwestern University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, Berkeley; University of Glasgow) and ranked among the top 0.27%–0.88% globally (ScholarGPS 2024). GEMS shines with a world-class Editorial Board (https://sites.google.com/view/gems-team/editorial-board), led by Editor-in-Chief Associate Professor Dr. Chanthika Pornpitakpan (PhD, University of British Columbia, Canada; top 2% scientist globally per Elsevier/Stanford since 2019, and top 0.77% across all fields, ScholarGPS 2024), featuring scholars from premier universities worldwide. This team drives rigorous peer review and strategic vision, while the Global Expert Review Panel (https://sites.google.com/view/gems-team/global-expert-review-panel) and ad hoc experts add diverse expertise to uphold review integrity and impartiality.
GEMS employs a dual-review system—single-anonymized by the Editorial Board and double-anonymized by Global Expert Review Panel or ad hoc experts. Adhering to Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, GEMS ensures transparency and integrity. Authors must include the following declarations on the manuscript cover page:

I/We agree not to submit the published Work, or any substantially similar version, to other journals or publications.
