The GEMS Program strives to support an equitable and positive atmosphere. There may be times however, where a student may feel they need to report a grievance. We ask before reporting a grievance to GEMS leadership, the student follows the proper chain of command listed below by speaking directly with the individual with whom you’re having the issue. Most times, a misunderstanding has taken place, and can be resolved internally.
For issues involving assault or gross negligence, please speak with GEMS leadership immediately to provide you with the appropriate resources and support.
If the issue cannot be solved internally by the program, the Handbook's Positive Learning Environment section explains the process for getting further assistance via the College of Medicine
