Who do I contact if I feel unsafe during my visit?
If you feel unsafe during your visit or witness any suspicious activity, get to a safe space and immediately call resort security at (312) 872 2911 or approach a roaming member of our security staff. Take note of your surroundings as this will be helpful to getting staff to your location. Try to stay on the line with our dispatch team until staff have arrived at your location. Although 911 is the main emergency hotline, our in-park security in most cases will respond faster to your call while you are on resort property so it is suggested to call (312) 872 2911 first.
Who can I contact if me or a guest in my party is in need of medical attention?
If you or a guest in your party requires immediate medical attention, get to a safe space and call (312) 872 2911. Take note of your surroundings as this will help to get staff to your location as quickly as possible. Stay on the line with our dispatch team until staff have arrived at your location. Note, in most cases, if you are on resort property, our in-park security will be quicker to respond to your emergency than 911.
If it is not an emergency, check the park map or the GC RESORT mobile app for the nearest first aid station
Who do I contact if I have lost a member of my party on resort property?
As soon as you believe your group member is lost, call security at (312) 767 2911 or approach a roaming member of our security staff. You can also visit guest services at the park entrance.
If I have lost a valuable item, who can I contact to retrieve it?
Do not call resort security for items lost on rides or elsewhere in the park, rather, visit Guest Services in the park or call (312) 872 2212. However, if another guest has stolen an item from you, call security at (312) 872 2911 and provide a detailed description of your item and the guest who stole it.
What happens in the case of a power outage at the resort?
All of our rides and attractions are equipped with emergency back-up power generators meaning you will never be left in an unsafe position during a power outage. All brakes, sensors, and monitoring systems will remain operational in the case of a power disruption and all of our interior spaces are equipped with emergency lighting. Security and Medical communications will also be available at all times.
What happens in the case of an earthquake at the resort?
In the case of a large earthquake, all rides and attractions will be stopped and guests evacuated in a quick and safe manner. All interior queues are equipped with emergency exits which may be used in the case of such an emergency. Medical personnel will be dispatched to all areas of the park and additional Oras Nou Fire and Medical personnel will be called to the resort.
Our staff will guide all guests to designated safe areas for the entirety of the earthquake and the entire park will be searched and inspected before guests can leave the safe zones.
What if there is a fire on resort property?
Our safety staff will be dispatched to the location immediately with proper fire-fighting equipment. Guests will be evacuated from the area quickly and safely and additional Oras Nou Fire and Medical will be called to the resort. All our interior rides and attractions are equipped with numerous emergency exits and evacuation procedures to ensure that you are safe no matter the circumstances.
What if there is an act of terrorism or violence on resort property?
Our security team will be dispatched immediately and will be armed to apprehend the suspect. Oras Nou Police as well as Oras Nou Fire and Medical will be called to the resort and all park operations will be suspended until the suspect is in custody and the safety of all our guests and staff is ensured.
Note that our resort is equipped with multiple terrorism preventing measures including security checkpoints at the park entrance, in-park monitoring, and hidden security personnel. There is not any area in the park where we do not have personnel monitoring your safety and we have many measures in place should an issue occur.
