Hi, my name is Sea! I have a chronic illness known as 'making too many OC's; oh god, why do you have so many'. Luckily, as this is not contagious, I get the joy of inflicting them upon my unsuspecting friends. This is where this place comes in! This site serves as a hub to store all the characters I currently write, letting people know at a glance who I play, as well as having a more laid-back OOC/dossier page without the need to make a tonne of resources (which I'm likely to do anyway, but... an attempt was made!).
My pronouns are she/her or they/them, I'm thirty years old and reside in the GMT+8 timezone. My friends say I have certifiable gremlin energy™️ and enjoy hurting them with angst. If you're interested in roleplaying with me, I encourage you to read the following rules below to familiarise yourself with my boundaries and expectations.
I. Due to the adult topics I explore in my roleplay, and for my own comfort, I will only engage in long-term stories with people who are over the age of eighteen. I accept events and broad-space roleplay will contain minors, and I have no qualms with interacting there, so this is not a hard 'do not interact'. However, I will draw the line on personal storylines. Sorry!
II. Because of my timezone, I often miss large-scale, mid-week events in XIV due to work/life balance. If you are looking for an active partner in this respect, I am not the player for you. I wish I could get paid to roleplay in game but alas... a girl has to eat.
II. Respect is a two-way street: respect me, and I’ll respect you. All I ask on an OOC level is to be treated kindly. Please do not godmode/powerplay, do not force my character into situations where I have personally expressed I am uncomfortable, and don't be a jerk out of character. I will always do my best to respect other peoples' boundaries in turn.
III. Because I've had far too many instances of this occurring over the years, I feel it's important to stress this here and now: I am not looking for an ooc relationship. Please do not push one onto me. Some of my characters are more promiscuous than others, some may be in polyamorous relationships, etc. This has no reflection on my personal wants out of character.
IV. I believe in media literacy and curating my space, so most of these rules take on a more common sense approach. I will happily block anyone participating in anything I find personally distasteful. Do not include me in your interpersonal drama. Achieving my own personal peace is extremely important to me and something I strive constantly to maintain.
V. These rules are subject to change, often without warning. As long as you follow rule three, we're unlikely to run into any issues.
PRIMARY
PRIMARY
Primary characters refer to characters that either have the most development or are my current fixations. This is a fairly static list that does not change — it mostly gets added to as time goes on. These characters are also more likely to have individual sites/projects you can click through to, though this is a constant work in progress.

Ala Mhigan born but Limsan-raised, Ashley — better known by her nickname 'Ashe' — carved out a name for herself as a part-time brawler and the Lead Courier for Firelight Trading Company. While lovingly referred to as the embodiment of a golden retriever (dumb but loyal), she is the epitome of a typical adventurer; headstrong, confident and unafraid of taking on a new challenge. If you need a monster slain, a package delivered or anything in between, she's your gal!

Ashe is a character I have a lot of muse for but I am picky about the kinds of roleplay she participates in. If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky adventurer, she would be your first choice! If you're after angst, hurt & comfort, etc., I will have to politely decline. She is my mental health cleanse, so it's important to me her story is generally positive.
She is also my content main! I love doing things in ffxiv so please don't hesitate to reach out and ask me.
Many things can be said about Captain Koret Swan - less she'd be willing to admit. First-born, legitimate daughter to Fleet Captain Dimitri Swan, she was thrust into her position out of a misguided sense of legacy that spurred no end of ire. With much of her early years shaped by her father's disdain, she persevered despite (or, perhaps more accurately, in spite of) his loathing until she outlived him entirely. Defined by the death of a sister she could not prevent - one she unwittingly witnessed - she grapples with the 'curse' of the Echo and all of its machinations alongside her new-found freedoms.

Due to how long I have roleplayed Kor and her experiences as a captain, I have elected to put her as by request for the sheer desire of wanting to roleplay with people who aren't going to disrespect her power and authority. You can consider her open otherwise. If you respect her, she will respect you. Additional info about her can be found on her site.
She's also my canonical WoL and will have work(s) featuring this verse! However, for the purposes of roleplay, that is an AU.
The (formally) adopted daughter to the tycoon patriarch of Firelight Trading Company, Rexonus Fira'lux, Sarrai Avery styles herself an heiress set to inherit the conglomerate on her father's death retirement. A primadonna with a taste for decadence, drama and divinity, she will never turn down an opportunity to go out on the town, party her heart out and meet new people.
Below the surface, however, this socialite has a morbid fascination with death and all its machinations, fearless when faced with the call of the void. Pay no heed to her mushrooms and bone collection; absolutely nothing shady is going on!

A heretical elezen with blood-ties to ancient Gelmorra, Elandervier knows all too well the sting of judgement. Tales of an 'incident' precede her abandonment of the Holy See, taking up residence in the hollows of Dravania where she made pact with dragon and demon alike. There she happily stayed until the Final Days forced her to make an impromptu deal with a powerful voidsent; one who planned to use her for their own means. Through the intervention of Firelight Trading Company, she was freed from its service and works on a retainer for its patriarch - perhaps the only person she actively obeys.

The sole daughter of renowned Doman samurai Kaito, Azuma grew up in occupied Yanxia during the Garlean occupation alongside her childhood best friend, Siyoh. Though trained in the samurai art, Azuma deviated from her family's craft by honing her abilities as a shinobi through partaking in Doman art, dancing and tea-making. She was critically injured escaping her homeland in the years preceding the emperor's death, losing much of the mobility in her legs, and spent many years in Mor Dhona helping to reunite refugees whilst regaining her sense of self. When the Warrior of Light helped liberate her home, Azuma travelled back with Siyoh and they opened two establishments together - the Doman Dragon and the Umbral Udon. They provide hospitality to new and returning travellers to Doma, as well as assist in the relocation of their people.

A Rava stolen from the Wood at an early age, Seelu knows extremely little of her home and the green word that binds it. Passed down through occupying forces over the course of her life, she became contented with surveying and praying to the heavens until eventually pledging her loyalty to a shadowy figure proclaiming themselves to be 'the manifestation of the gaps between stars'. Little did she know they were more closely akin to a voidsent and, though she was afforded the means to escape her captors, underwent a transformation aligning her more closely with the cosmos. These days, Seelu resides in The Black Shroud as Firelight's archivist, slowly learning the word of its wood whilst maintaining her eclectic collection of rare and potentially dangerous items.

Seelu is the owner of her "Parlour of Peculiarities", facilitating small-group, self-driven roleplay. It's currently closed to people in my FC but may open up in Dawntrail!
CAYLEAHA KISNE
Madame of the infamous Fleur de Lis, Cayleaha's title as the 'Queen of Hearts' originated from her days as a singer for a Dalmascan pleasure house before she seized the power and control for herself. Beautiful and ruthless, you'd be wise not to cross her—less you lose your head.

EVELYN RIVERS
A drunkard. A thief. A menace. All of these and more Eve wears with pride. Self-proclaimed sky-pirate 'captain' of the occupational hazard known as The Junker, the Ala Mhigan woman takes to the skies to cause mischief and ship goods. Arguably, it's better if you didn't know her.
ROLEPLAY AVAILABILITY:

The daughter of a small but wealthy Ishgardian house, Alaice was thrust back into the greater Ishgardian population upon the 'untimely' death of her lord-husband, Draeir Dubois. With a lack of evidence to convict anyone, she maintains her innocence and attempts to live out her new life with her daughter Alyna.

TERTIARY
Tertiary characters are characters whose stories were generally built alongside, or are tightly entwined, with one or more player(s), are primarily used for plot/drabble purposes, or I have yet to develop to the point of featuring on my primary muses. They are played far less frequently than the ones above, but still show up from time to time. Some will have more roleplay availability than others — feel free to ask if you're interested! These characters will not have individual pages (at this stage).
NYX TENEBRAE
Entombed at the end of the Allagan Empire as part Xande's fall, Nyx was brought back to life when the technologies of Azys Lla began to fail from lack of maintenance. An aloof and mysterious woman, she keeps her secrets tightly guarded and divulges little of her past.

ROWAN ZOLWE
Born to a fringe tribe occupying the very edges of the Sagolii desert, Rowan is cagey about her past. She and her brother forsook their tribal ways and names after the death of their twin-nuhn leaders, but that's about the most history individual person is likely to glean. Rowan works under Ashe as a courier and apprentice mechanic for Firelight Trading Company, while her brother Wolfe is tutored by its patriarch. She can also be seen in Gridania helping Seelu with the maintenance of her home.

SHINING CROW
Pirate Captain of the Atlas, Crow rose to prominence as a cut-throat privateer who was not afraid to mow down people who got in her way. In her older years, commanding a small fleet of ships, she struggles with the relentless passage of time that robs her of her prime while younger, bolder sailors attempt to mosey in on her prizes.

Z
A mysterious miqo'te who divulges little of his personal life, Z dwells in the shadowy places where few men dare tread. A mercenary and assassin by trade, some believe him to be associated with the void and all its corrupt machinations.
ROLEPLAY AVAILABILITY: Plot based/closed.
Z functions more for his role as Kor's Thirteenth shard, because I Like To Hurt Myself, and my explorations of eldrich horror. Because of this, he's extremely plot-dependent and generally only written with people I trust. If you want a major antagonist you cannot maim, and we've roleplayed before, feel free to ask.
ARYELE MASON
A lady from the Court of Troia, Aryele's mastery over the light made her a perfect candidate to assume the mantle of Memoriate when the Thirteenth began to fall to darkness. She was killed just before the flood when she failed to dispatch her lover-turned-voidsent, Z.

THE FIRESIDE
My friends and I run an event called The Fireside! Its aim is to try and promote roleplay in the late-night/oceanic communities who are not able to attend US/EU events due to timezone constraints. This is my Final Fantasy XIV Community Compendium, focusing on linking as many XIV writing/roleplaying discords, forums, events, free companies and resources as I can get my hands on. While the inspired by and predominately tailored for roleplayers, it should have something for anyone looking to engage creatively with the game in some capacity.
SEAFLOOR is equal parts a hub for all my resources including, but not limited to; question drives, compendium support, resource dumping, etc; but also exists as a laid-back social-space for me to interact with people in the community in a low-stakes environment. Unfortunately, I am generally pretty terrible at maintaining consistent one on one communication, so this lets me hang out with people in a manner that works for me!
The discord is strictly 21+ and with a focus on personal responsibility and conflict resolution. Please read all the rules when you join in order to have the best experience.
Last, but certainly not least, I run a series of question drives! The main one is simply called Sea's Character Question Drive and revolves around me sending random asks to people in the community when they like the drive's post. You can see my most current one by checking out my pinned post on Tumblr.
The other smaller drive is Sea's Single-word Fic Prompt, encouraging people to write a story based on a single word I generate and send via the askbox. I advertise these on my tumblr all the time, but you can also join SEAFLOOR to be notified when those go live!
