I believe in the importance of integrating technology into my classroom. This approach to learning provides students with the opportunity to develop not only their digital literacy, but also research, collaboration, and communication skills. As well as developing these essential skills that students will use in the future, technology also helps to create a more engaging classroom. Here are some examples of technology projects from my classroom.
This group of 7th grade students created a "safe city" in Minecraft after researching crime in large urban areas. They included many features that they believed would help reduce crime levels
9th grade students studying peace and conflict selected a country and topic to research. They then turned their findings into a news report.
6th grade students studying migration created a podcast on a topic of their choice. This student selected the refugee crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine, with a focus on UK policies.
6th grade students studying narrative writing wrote a short story and then used Canva with generative AI to create a comic strip from their story.
