I have created a Paws and Claws club in each of my last 3 schools. The purpose of the club is to raise awareness of the plight of homeless dogs and cats, and to provide assistance to local shelters through funds or volunteer hours. I believe strongly in students giving back to the local community through one of their passions.

I was fortunate enough to lead groups of students on the EF Global Student Leaders Summits. The first summit took place in Shanghai and the second in Davos. Students had life-changing experiences as they joined almost 1000 students from around the world to attend seminars and participate in a culminating design thinking competition.

I have created or run environmental clubs in each of my schools dating back to 1995. I am passionate about doing simple things to show appreciation for the planet, and inspiring young people to do the same, and to take the lead in inspiring their peers to do the same.
