In this unit I learnt how to:
A. A understand and demonstrate the personal characteristics valued by employers in the workplace
B. B prepare an application for an IT/computing job role
C. C understand how social media and communication technologies are used in the workplace
D. D demonstrate how social media and communication technologies can be used to improve the delivery of a project.
In this unit, I learnt how computing applies to the workplace, I learnt how to write cover letters and CV's. I learnt how important characteristics are in the workplace and completed a catalyst enterprise report to understand my individual skills I have. Assignment 2 was based on CV and cover letter writing. I have learnt how characteristics and skills are important in work and the skills I have and need to improve on.
As part of this unit, I had to create a video about each characteristic, for example, teamworking and explain why its valued. Also, how I used these characteristic in my course.
These are job adverts we were asked to create as part of our assignment.
This is for assignment 2. First, we research what job we want to apply to and then I had to write a CV and Cover letter from the chosen job.
For this assignment, I was asked to create a report on social media and communication explaining how businesses use social media to their advantage and detriment.
