Installing and Maintaining Hardware

These are some of the photos of my installing and uninstalling hardware into a computer and the computer is running correctly.

This is my work for assignment 1 for this unit. I was working for an IT company that specialises in maintaining technology systems. My brief was to advice the client about repairing and maintaining hardware for two existing systems. I had to write about why maintaining hardware is important and then recommend 3 upgrades for each system. For the merit, I had to review the implications for installing and maintaining hardware for various topics. For the distinction, I had to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of maintaining hardware for one system. I needed to have at least 2 points for each strength and weaknesses.

For this assignment, I was asked to upgrade and maintain the hardware in one system. To do this, I had a budget of £500 overall to upgrade components. The system had many problems, such as, showing the wrong date and time, the computer freezing and problems connecting to the internet. With the budget, I needed to solve these. In this assignment, I also had a table suggesting alternative ideas to fix issues and a test plan. for the distinction, I had to evaluate what I have done.
