Databases
Databases
In this unit I learnt how to:
A. understand the uses of and tools/techniques used in databases
B. design a relational database
C. develop and test a relational database
D. review the finished relational database
In this unit, we have learnt to create flat file and relational databases. I have achieved distinction for this unit. Before starting the assignment, we did many practise databases, including one relating to a murder mystery. With the murder mystery we found the murderer using queries. We learnt how to create a basic Database, before advancing to more complicated relational databases. Also, we learnt how to create test plans, data dictionaries and entity diagrams. (These will be found bellow)
The Database above is from my unit assignment. I was asked to create a simple database for a surgery called Iechyd Surgery. I was required to create a appointment system for the five doctors who worked at the practice. The system needed to allow the receptionist to book appointments quickly.
This is my test plans. I am testing if my Queries and form buttons are correct and working .
These are the data dictionaries for each table.
This is the write-up I produced as part of my assignment.
