My name is Gabrielle London, and I am a Senior at Cartersville High School. I have been chosen to participate in the Work-Based Learning Program this school year. Once i graduate, i plan to attend an Historically Black College and/or University in hopes of becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I plan to major in Nursing and double minor in Sports Management and kinesiology. I am a student athlete here at Cartersville High School. I am a runner and a thrower on the track team and I cheer for both varsity basketball teams. I am a member of HOSA and serve as the Parliamentarian. I currently work at a daycare as a childcare assistant. This job helps me interact with the children and get a feel of this type of environment. I can sense when they are moody and this helps me know how to handle the different situations. I recently gained an internship at a physical therapy's office. I have gained organization skills while organizing and faxing paperwork as well as communication skills where I have to communicate back and forth with the head physical therapist. Speaking has always been a struggle for me because I am shy and a introvert so this internship has showed me a lot.
