My Role: Intern

In my role as an intern at Physio, I work with both the patient service manager and the head physical therapist. I fax and file most if not all paperwork, re organize the front area and decorate the office for occasions. When working with the head physical therapist, I am used as an assistant and help him when needed. I sanitize equipment as well as try out new tasks for the patients to work on while working towards recovery. I greet patients when they walk in as well as direct them to the snack area for refreshments. If we have new patients, i give them new patient intake forms that i prepared days prior. I am responsible for making copies of their personal documents which is a big task. My initative in the front area is serious as it should be and messing up could result in the patients personal information being lost.
