4. Next we need to create the studs. So, press "S" to bring up your sketch toolbox, then type center, pick "Center diameter circle" from the resulting option list, then click on the top plane of the brick (it will highlight when you are over it) BE CAREFUL NOT TO SELECT ONE OF THE YELLOW DEFAULT PLANES - WATCH THE VIDEO CAREFULLY, SELECT THE TOP OF THE BRICK!!!!). On the top left corner of the brick drag out a circle, type the dimension as 4.8mm and press enter. It doesn't matter if it's not in the right place, as long as it's on top of the brick!
If you look at the orthographic projection to the right, you can see that the studs centres are 3.9mm from the edges of the brick, so we now need to position our stud correctly on top of the brick.
We can position the stud in Fusion 360 by "Dimensioning".
5. Press the "D" key to start the dimension tool. Now click on the centre of the circle you just drew, then the top edge of the brick and move the mouse over to the left of the brick and left click. Now type "3.9mm" in the resulting dimension box and press enter.
Next, get the dimension tool up again (D or sketch toolbox), now click on the centre of the circle, then the left edge of the brick, then move the mouse up above the top outside of the brick and left click. Now type "3.9mm" in the resulting dimension box and press enter. Well done! Now your stud is in the right place on top of your lego brick. Wouldn't it be brilliant if we didn't have to do that another 7 times?
