This tutorial was adapted from this video - Lego brick beginners tutorial - many thanks to the creator who's youtube channel is here.
The orthographic projection of the lego brick is here - if you want a real challenge after you complete this tutorial try to make the brick again but ONLY from this drawing.
Now we'll learn some really important Fusion skills you'll use again and again: rectangular patterns, shelling, mirroring etc. We'll also use this brick to learn how to make assemblies of multiple components in a later tutorial.
2. Now press the "S" key to bring up your "Sketch" toolbox, and type "rectangle", you'll see it guesses the sketch you want and you can click to select "2 point rectangle".
Select the "base plane", click on the "Origin" (the 3d centre of the work space). Left click and move the mouse up and to the right to start drawing the rectangle, it doesnt matter how far. Watch the video>>
BUT NOW, LET GO OF THE MOUSE, DON'T TOUCH IT or it'll resize the rectangle!!
Press tab to move between the dimension fields, the rectangle should be 15.8mm wide and 31.8mm high. Don't use the mouse to size the rectangle! then press enter twice to lock the dimensions and then draw the rectangle:
NOW CLICK "STOP SKETCH"
3. Now we need to extrude our brick out into space, to do this we'll use the pushpull tool. press "Q" on your keyboard, select the rectangle, then type 9.6mm and press enter twice.
