Feature Project: This residence in Ormond by the Sea had a Florida room which lost the sides and roof during hurricane Matthew the jolt of the roof being ripped off destroyed the header beam in multiple locations where its poijnt of attachments were located. Furthermore, the homeowner didn't address it for a couple years so the water damage in during that time created massive spalling issues throughout this beam. First, we had to repair by post shoring in 10" sections at a time of the roof to get the weight off the beam, then removing all the loose concrete removing all rusted rebar and reinstalling new fiberglass pink bar in its place then repouring the beam. The whole exterior wall along the east beach side needed to have the old stucco removed and replaced with new since the water was separating the stucco from the substrate.
