This year’s “mystery” flavor was leaked, so I don’t have any speculation, but I can confirm that it is tasty! (I won’t put any spoilers in this post, in case anyone wants to try it and guess.) I think I like last year’s a bit better, but this one has a nice sourness to it that I really enjoy. In terms of creating a soda that tastes like candy, they did an absolutely fantastic job. If you’re into sweet/tangy flavors like I am, you will love 2021 VooDew.
Ironically, the "leak" that I mentioned in my post turned out to be inaccurate, but I still believe that the flavor tastes more like that than the flavor it was supposed to be. The official flavor was eventually revealed to be "fruit candy chews" (in other words, Starburst), but the "leak" that I had found labeled it as Sweet Tarts. Sorry folks, but I have to agree with the fake leak on this one.
